Tip #1: Faster and More Convenient Navigation in Canvas
Navigating from one page to another can be tedious and time-consuming. It would be convenient if you could move quickly between your frequently used pages in Canvas, such as the Assignment page and SpeedGrader for example. Canvas does not offer a solution for that, but your web browser does.
- Open Canvas in multiple tabs on your browser. In each tab load a page that you frequently use in Canvas.
- Open “Grades” in one tab, an assignment you are grading in another, and so on.
- Now, instead of clicking through the Canvas navigation links to get to the page you need, you can just click on the tab where you have opened it in the web browser.
- To be sure that you don’t accidentally delete one of your chosen tabs you can “Pin” the tab so that stays in place. To “Pin” a tab right-click on the tab and choose “Pin” from the dropdown menu. When you are finished with the tab, follow the same path and “Unpin” it.
